Goodleaf Launches its First CBD Store

Goodleaf is excited to announce the opening of South Africa’s first premium CBD store in the heart of Cape Town’s city centre.

The street-level store, located on buzzing Buitenkant Street in the East City Precinct, is housed in the recently renovated Tiny Empire building and is the first of its kind since the legalisation of CBD in late May.

In the store, you can expect a selection of premium hemp-derived CBD products including vapes, drops and creams from leading international brands Select CBD, Dr Kerklaan, and Herb Essntls. Local Goodleaf products will soon be available on-shelf and online.

We aim to update our range with hand-selected products as they become available. Visit the shop to see what we currently have in store.

Step Into Cape Town’s First CBD Store

The minimal design of the CBD store sets the tone for the brand and takes advantage of the unique space, housed in an elegant heritage building with high ceilings and tall windows. Natural light, white-washed walls and clean design create a calm and welcoming atmosphere for this landmark CBD shop.

The unique 40m-square CBD retail space was conceived as more than just a retail environment, but an ‘amphitheatre’ of low birchwood rows that function as both product display and wrap-around seating for socialising, customer education or pop-up events.

It reflects the brand’s commitment to curating premium products and sharing knowledge at a time when attitudes and the law have changed towards CBD.

“The store embodies everything Goodleaf stands for – open and accessible, sophisticated and stylish. We always believed there was a huge opportunity to offer consumers an educated and curated experience in a welcoming environment. I think its design is the perfect blend of functionality and modern retail style,” says CEO Jonni Katz.

Goodleaf is located at 37 Buitenkant Street, Cape Town, 8001 and open Mondays to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Look out for exclusive events to be held at the Mother City’s pioneer CBD drops store along with a range of premium-grade CBD products. Wondering whether you can purchase CBD products legally at the goodleaf store? Rest assured, since Cape Town CBD legislation was updated to include medicinal products, the sale of hemp-derived products are completely legal. All goodleaf products contain cannabinoids - the healing derivative of the hemp plant. Only the smallest traces of THC can be found in this plant, meaning no need to worry about any psychoactive effects.

The goodleaf vision is to provide customers with all the goodness of hemp, powered by nature. The flagship CBD drops store features a growing range of products that promote a healthy mind, body, and soul. Look out for vape pens, drops, topicals, lifestyle products, and sexual wellness products.

Along with our retail space, you can also shop online to find the full range of goodleaf products. Whether visiting our CBD oil shop or searching online for the products that best suit your needs, we are always here to help you along your CBD journey.

  • This is very exciting and progressive. I can’t wait to visit your store and enjoy the atmosphere. I currently work in the marketing department of one of the biggest energy drink companies in the world and I would like to find out more about your organization. Anyways, this is my first contact with your brand and I’m going to dig deeper, maybe there is an opportunity for us to work together as I am very interested in this young and fertile industry.
