Each month we invite Anel Van Der Merwe from the Kind (but Good) Food blog to create a plant-based recipe for us using CBD. On the menu this time? A CBD Masala Chai Latté. Enjoy!
Masala Chai CBD Latté
(Makes 1 serving - but 1 big mug!)
Ingredients
- 1 rooibos tea bag
- 1 small piece of fresh, peeled ginger
- 6 black peppercorns
- 1 cardamom pod
- 1 clove
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 dates - pre soaked until soft
- 1 sachet Goodleaf CBD powder
- 1 cup oat milk
Method:
Put the rooibos tea bag in a cup with the fresh ginger. Add ½ cup boiling water and let steep while you blend the milk + spices.
Place all the spices, dates, CBD powder, and milk in a small blender and whizz until smooth and creamy.
Now drain the mix through a sieve if you want a smoother drink, otherwise leave as is and pour into a microwaveable cup. Heat for a minute until warm.
Meanwhile remove the tea bag and ginger from your serving cup. Once your milk is hot, pour into the tea and enjoy!
You can also optionally froth the milk mixture for that real latté vibe, but the milk should already be thick and foamy naturally from the blending process.
