CBD knows how to work its way to the bone.
One of CBD’s most popular uses amongst older individuals is as a treatment for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and joint pain. These conditions can prove to be truly debilitating, and severely limit the individual's ability for movement and activity.
The efficacy of CBD in treating these conditions is due to one of its best known and widely reported benefits - as an anti-inflammatory. Arthritis is a condition of pain and stiffness caused by inflammation around the joints, and so as CBD works to restore homeostasis ("balance") in the body it helps to counteract and decrease the intensity of swollen joints.
Sustained use of CBD can also help relieve pain in joints and ease the swelling in the affected areas by regulating the body’s response to pain signals. This helps to decrease the pace of damage to the tissue and cartilage in the area and provides greater mobility for sufferers.
Research has also shown that we actually have a skeletal endocannabinoid system in our body that works to regulate bone mass, with cannabinoids working on receptors in the endocannabinoid system to promote the strength, healing and growth of our bones.
This is great news for those suffering from osteoporosis, or anyone who has a broken or fractured bone, as studies show regular intake of CBD results in a significant enhancement of their healing process.
Looks like milk isn't our only option anymore when it comes to promoting good bone health.
Hi Steffi
You can reduce your dosage if you feel your ankle has been sufficiently helped, or you can keep it the same as it has been in order for your body to keep benefiting from a sustained amount of CBD – it’s totally up to you!
If you don’t feel the current dose is doing enough, you can also feel free to increase it.
Hope this helps!
Take care.
Hi,
I have been taking your cbd oil since about two weeks now, about 9 drops per day.
My main aim is to help my broken ankle heal, it’s the 6th month now and because it wasn’t improving I started with the cbd oil.
From your experience should I continue with 9 to 10 drops a day or decrease it now?
Thanks
Steffi
